Set in Iraq during the 1990s under Saddam Hussein's rule and international sanctions, the story follows a determined nine-year-old girl named Lamia. Lamia and her friend Saeed navigate a challenging journey into the city to find the necessary supplies, facing exploitation and the harsh realities of a society suffering under an authoritarian regime.
